They Lied To You About Love
In today’s culture, tolerance is preached as the ultimate virtue. We’re told that loving people means affirming whatever they believe, no matter how destructive. But the Bible makes it clear: real love isn’t about affirming lies—it’s about standing for truth. 1 Corinthians 13:6 says, “Love does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth.” If we truly love people, we won’t stay silent when deception is leading them to destruction.
The Church has been backed into a corner, afraid to speak truth in fear of being labeled hateful. But Jesus never called us to be silent—He called us to be salt and light. Throughout history, when the Church has compromised to stay “acceptable” in the world’s eyes, it has lost its power. We are not called to conform to culture, but to transform it through the gospel. If we let fear dictate our voice, we forfeit the power of the Holy Spirit working through us.
Loving people means being willing to speak truth, even when it’s uncomfortable. The world may demand our silence, but Jesus never did. It’s time to stop confusing love with compromise. Stand firm in the truth of God’s Word, because “The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe” —Proverbs 29:25
